Almost Christmas!

Almost Christmas...each year I vow to simplify, simplify, simplify...why can't I?
Buying Christmas presents and getting all the food ready is my biggest burden. Hubby and I haven't exchanged gifts for years, and I've requested the same from friends and family - meeting with some resistance...sigh.
The good news is all 7 of us will be together Christmas eve; Kelly & Jake coming from San Diego and Brad,Murcia and son Aeden (2) - all our kids - will be here...then, we're all going to my brother's on Sunday, something we haven't done before.
I pray I keep the true meaning of Christmas as I run around these last few days!

Had a great Halloween weekend! Kelly & Jake were "home" from San Diego to attend the wedding of friends, grandson Aeden was "the bad" Spiderman, complete with shooting webs (silly string).

Summer's Almost Over...

Summer's almost over, but I'm always a month behind. I feel like I haven't really enjoyed summer...too much work. I need to be in the water, in the sunshine...
At least we're going to San Diego in October - we can kayak there and lay in the sunshine

Palm Sunday

Much to do today...thankfully, I can do most of it while catching the Spartans (hopefully) trouncing Tennessee! GO GREEN! Straighten my sewing room, go through old paperwork files, mail out notices for my mom's memorial service on April 7th...It's 11:28am and I'm still in my 'jammas! I truly think I am not getting the hang of Daylight Savings this year...sigh.
Brought my grandson's Hungry Caterpillar top to the machine quilter yesterday. Hopefully, she'll be done in time for me to get the binding finished for his birthday party April 17th...His birthday is actually tax day - which haven't been done yet, either. My niece Rachel will turn 10 this Thursday, April 1st!
Well, time to get motivated, maybe another cup of coffee?
